After completing his carpentry qualifications in the 1980s, Brent has worked on various commercial and residential projects before taking on the appointment of site manager for a leading Wellington residential property developer. During these years Brent gained extensive knowledge of the building industry while working on a variety of projects – ranging from single dwellings through to multiple townhouses and apartment complexes. Until, in 1988, along with his wife and father he formed "Apteryx Building and Construction Ltd". Now as owner and principal director Brent can
